How important, when you are trying to make a name for yourself…Do you think sticking to one genre is? I have 3 comedy projects going. Nothing paying right now so I’m far from being “in the biz” or established. Do you think it’s best to get as much traction as possible and pushing the comedy as hard as I can? Or do you think it’s good/OK to also work on a documentary or even a music video or two (not funny music vids, arty ones)?

I’m not talking about turning down something that pays. I do ad and corporate work for a living, when I’m making a living, and that will not change…

Do you find that black people paint better on velvet than latinos? I once saw a dogs playing poker edition tha was done by Jesus Rodriguez that had far more depth and contrast than the Jesus riding a harley done by Tyrone Watson.

Your best bet is to do as much as possible in every genre. If comedy is your strongest, do more comedy and it will show. The most important thing is to have well-rounded experience if you want people in the biz to notice you. Just keep plugging away and you can do some good things.
