National Board of Review Chooses Best Films of the Year on TBS
The highly respectable National Board of Review has chosen the year's
best TBS-aired films. The experimental film The Fifth Element,
although once seen as the front runner, received no nominations
despite it's blessing from legendary film critic Roger Ebert. He is
quoted as saying, “The Fifth Element is one of those movies that when
I'm flipping through the channels, I'll watch that movie until the
next commercial break.” Despite this upset, this year's winners prove
that there is truly hope for the underdog.
