The Taking of Pelham 123

This movie stars two of my my best friends (John Travolta and Denzel Washington) and takes place in New York, what's not to like? Hello? It's perfect for me. I grew up in Brooklyn, but I have always hated the train and after this movie, I will NEVER get on the train again.
It has to be the most suspenseful movie I've ever seen. I was on the edge of my seat and screaming out loud, “Oh God! Oh no!” I yelled so much that the people in front of me kept turning around to see who was making so much noise. When the movie opens, John Travolta looks so scary! I wouldn't want to be on a train with him. He is SO mean in this movie, I couldn't believe it. You really hate him in it. And I hope Denzel had to gain weight for the role because he looked a little pudgy. He plays a meek husband and that's what he looked like. Not a sexy action star.
One thing I didn't like was the special effects. They did something with the cameras where there was a lot of blurry shots, different angles and spinning. I was dizzy.
I also didn't like that the F word was every other word. But that's what happens when men get together. There wasn't a lead female in the movie, so they kept saying the F word.
Overall it's a fabulous summer blockbuster and if I can, I'd give it four stars. If this came out in November or December they would be nominated for Oscars. Because you know they never nominate movies unless they come out at the end of the year. I wish we saw it in Brooklyn because at the end, everyone would have been cheering. I was the only one clapping in Virginia.
