To an outside observer the conflicts that boiled over last week in Gaza and the disputed area of Donestk, Ukraine, may seem absurd. An ignorant person may even ask, ‘How can it be justified for human lives to be lost just so that other humans can have some piece of land? Land is too stupid to even be able to think.” But, upon learning the facts, any reasonable person will realize that land is always more valuable than any living human.
