Jon Stewart Responds to Rick Sanchez

This is why Jon Stewart’s awesome.

Last week, Rick Sanchez went on a radio show (What’s that? Oh, it’s a podcast that gets broadcast to our Sony Walkmen), and proceeded to not only call Jon Stewart a bigot, but go off on the Jew-run media.

“I’m telling you that everybody who runs CNN is a lot like Stewart, and a lot of people who run all the other networks are a lot like Stewart, and to imply that somehow they, the people in this country who are Jewish, are an oppressed minority? Yeah.”

Oh, I see what you did there, Rick. You added a sarcastic “yeah.” Hilarious. You should have your own comedy talk show where you wax poetic about all the Jews you hate. Oh, you don’t have a talk show? You were fired from yours because of said remarks. Weird.

Anyway, that happened last Friday, and because the Daily Show takes a long weekend every week (slackers), we’ve all been waiting for Stewart’s retort. And he didn’t disappoint.

THAT is how it’s done. Yes, he mocked him mercilessly and yes, he compared him to a fictional buffoon, but he ended on a poignant note, totally humanizing Sanchez, despite everything he said.

Here’s where I’d put something like “Jon Stewart 1, Rick Sanchez 0.” But if we go to the official scoreboard it looks like this:
