Norm MacDonald Gave A Touching Tribute To Robin Williams on Twitter

As the community mourns the loss of talented performer and good person Robin Williams, many comedians have shared stories of Williams dropping in on standup and improv shows, often displaying more good nature and kindness than you would expect from a person who’d reached such a high level of fame.

One especially touching story comes from Norm MacDonald, who shared an anecdote on Twitter from when he was a young comic appearing on Letterman for the first time and Williams joined him in his dressing room. In the story, Williams, ‘the funniest man alive,” spends half an hour doing bits with ‘punk kid” MacDonald despite them being complete strangers. The whole story is wonderful, and heartbreaking, and a perfect example of the emptiness many are feeling following the loss of a true comedy legend.
