Woman Breaks Ebola Record, And Breaking Any Record Would Be Kind of Cool

A woman in Spain is the first known Ebola patient to catch the disease outside of Africa.

The woman, who is a nurse’s assistant, caught the disease while treating a Spanish missionary and a Spanish priest, who became infected in West Africa, according to CNN. Both died after returning to Spain for treatment.

I really hope that woman gets better, and I don’t want to minimize her suffering, but I’ve been sick a lot of times, and it’s never broken any kind of record. Kind of fun to be the first person in the world to do something, even if it’s get Ebola on a non-Africa continent. Hopefully that’s giving her some comfort right now.
