Hey guys,
I ‘m pretty sure I heard a few guys throwing it out there at practice today, so I thought I ‘d start an email chain to decide whether or not we are dressing up in our Halloween costumes for work on Saturday. I know I ‘m down. I love Halloween! The game is at 7pm December 31st, so that is prime Halloween costume time!
I have so many ideas for good costumes! Plus, I think it ‘s important we start doing some team bonding activities. I know in the past I haven ‘t been the ‘ideal” veteran leader on this team, but I want to change that starting now. This is a new season guys, and we want to show the fans that we ‘re turning over a new leaf. We ‘re not the boring, pouty hapless Knicks of the last few years, we ‘re the fun, high energy, loveable Knicks of ’15- ’16!
Anyway, just wanted to reach some kind of consensus before we leave for the game and to give me enough time to plan my costume. I know last year was kind of bonkers when none of us were sure whether or not we were dressing up for the game and then no one dressed up except me and I played 32 minutes against the Pelicans dressed as Austin Powers.
We ‘re playing the Wizards, so I figured it would be funny for at least one of us to dress up like Gandolf, from The Hobbits. Haha I don ‘t know… 😉

Oh quick follow-up, wanted to see if any of you were in to prank Coach Fisher. Maybe put a Spider in his suit jacket or some fake blood in his shoes or something random like that? Haha I don ‘t know…anyone else have ideas?

Hey guys,
Just following up on this email from yesterday in case it got lost in the shuffle. So far Kristaps is on board to dress up (Way to go Kristaps! Can ‘t wait to see your Dracula!), but no one else has gotten back about it. A quick reminder that the game is on Saturday so get back to me by 5pm tonight if you wanna do it!
As the veteran leader of this team, I ‘d love it if we could do something fun like this to improve camaraderie and to show all the haters out there that this Knicks team is gonna be America ‘s sweetheart. People love teams who are goofy together. Like the Warriors, they ‘re always laughing and goofing off and people love them!

Alright guys it ‘s 4:59 right now and still only Kristaps has gotten back to me about this (Hey Kristaps: ‘I Vant To Suck Your Blood” right? Can ‘t wait, buddy!). I didn ‘t bring it up at practice today because I didn ‘t want to put anyone on the spot, plus I was busy learning some new passing drills (another thing I ‘m super excited to try this season). But I ‘m really disappointed we can ‘t all rally around this fun, team building, activity.
I don ‘t want to come down on everyone, but I am the veteran leader of this team, so I will give you all one more hour to tell me what you ‘re dressing up as for the game on Saturday or I will assign you costumes.
This should be fun guys, Halloween is fun, and we should all have fun together! Like the Warriors!

OK, you guys have given me no choice. As the veteran team leader of the Knicks, I insist each of you come to the game against the Washington Wizards on Halloween dressed as the following (if you need help with your costume, let me know, I have a LOT of costumes from past Halloweens):
Kristaps Porzingis: Dracula (Love it!)
Robin Lopez: A Jack-In-The-Box doll (Um, your hair…haha 😉
Derrick Williams: A Nazi guard
Arron Afflalo: Austin Powers (See if you can top me from last year, good luck BAY-BEE!)
Jerian Grant: Leprechaun (Would be funny because you ‘re black)
Kyle O ‘Quinn: A Taco (Oh man, talk to me after practice tomorrow, I have a great idea for how to make a taco suit!)
Jose Calderon: Gandalf (Because we ‘re playing the Wizards) (Is there Gandalf in Spanish?)

Sorry about the tone of the start of this email but seriously guys, we need to be a fun team this year so step up and wear these costumes to the game on Saturday. I ‘m counting on you.
