‘Pee-wee’s Big Holiday’ Premiere Recap

We went to the Pee-wee ‘s Big Holiday premiere in Austin, Tx! Here ‘s everything that happened.

When we got to the Paramount Theatre, a block away from Austin ‘s annually chaotic 6th street, we were instantly greeted by a team of pedicab drivers dressed up like the man of the hour!

Pee-wee and bicycles, forever a match made in Heaven.

We took our place on the red carpet and prepared our extremely important question for the cast, producers, and director of this movie: Will you please make a funny face on our Snapchat?

It turns out almost everyone was into it, even if they ‘d never used Snapchat before! Here ‘s a super cut of all the silly faces.

Paul Rust, the writer of the movie and star of many classic FOD videos, wanted to make a funny face but the camera wouldn ‘t recognize him for some reason. So he just threw up some Midwest gang signs.

Paul Reubens, the legend himself, politely declined Snapchat but took the opportunity to make a serious face instead.

And then it was time for the movie! When fans got out they were greeted by an army of Pee-wees handing out red balloons. FUN!

And then there was an army of Pee-wees slowly letting air out of the red balloons to make an obnoxious squeaking noise. NOT AS MUCH FUN!

We went to the afterparty where Netflix had a table full of dessert that spelled ‘Netflix ‘ in giant letters and everybody just kind of stared at it afraid to destroy the beauty. For about two minutes. Then they realized it ‘s a giant pile of sweets and gosh darn it sweets are meant to be eaten.

After that we headed to a Pee-wee trivia and lookalike contest at The Highball! There were some really awesome Pee-wee costumes!

And this lifesized Pee-wee and Chairy that we all agreed was the cutest thing we ‘ve ever seen in our lives.

Then it was time to go and the team of Pee-wee pedicab drivers were outside ready to take us home.
