An unfortunate reality of our world is that trans people ‘ especially black trans women ‘ much too commonly get harassed and arrested for doing as little as walking outside or checking into a hotel. Recently (and weirdly!) states have been trying to enforce legislation that decides where they can and cannot use the bathroom. This week on The Daily Show, Jessica Williams spoke with a group of trans activists and also a transphobic state representative from Colorado who a) frankly seems obsessed with women and children going to the bathroom and b) at one point in the interview makes Jessica Williams pause so that he can change into A DRESS!!!
