The latest creation from director Robert Zemeckis, Welcome To Marwen, hits theaters tomorrow, and to quote a Magic 8 Ball… the outlook is not good. The film is based on the true story of Mark Hogancamp, a man who was brutally attacked and worked through the aftermath of this experience by creating an imaginary world out of plastic figurines.
The movie received a whole 25% on Rotten Tomatoes, which is honestly a bummer because the story itself is tragic and powerful and deserving of a great film, but it sounds like the Toy Story with PTSD approach worked out about as well as you ‘d expect… and the internet is having a field day.
