Ariana Grande Now Has ‘Small BBQ Grill ‘ Tattooed On Her Hand Forever

Okay, here we are in the year 2019, and let me ask you this: do we see people wearing puka shell necklaces? Ridiculously low-rise jeans? No? Hm. It ‘s almost like…. we ‘re in the year 2019 and not 2004. So naturally, you ‘d assume white people would stop getting Chinese or Japanese calligraphy tattoos with wildly off translations.
“It means ‘wisdom ‘ in Japanese ‘
No, Christina, you dumb idiot, it means ‘spicy tuna roll ‘.
But no, apparently we haven ‘t moved past that as a society, as Ariana Grande recently taught us.
After releasing her latest track, ‘7 Rings ‘, Ariana Grande decided to celebrate by getting the Chinese characters for the song title tattooed on the inside of her hand.

Her post has since been deleted from instagram, which perhaps has something to do with the fact that in Japanese, these characters don ‘t translate to ‘seven rings ‘.
It translates to “small barbecue grill ‘
Good thing tattoos aren ‘t, y ‘know, permanent.
Ariana Grande ‘s new tattoo “?? ‘ means Japanese style bbq grill, not 7 rings. If you want to know about ??, just google “SHICHIRIN ‘ pic.twitter.com/HuQM2EwI62

Ariana Grande got a Japanese tattoo that she thought meant “7 rings” but it's actually a Japanese charcoal grill
This has inspired my next tattoo, which will be the word “crockpot” written in comic sans pic.twitter.com/yynfPGWvV6

In a response which has now also been deleted, Ariana addressed this.
“It hurt like f**k n still looks tight. ‘
It still… looks tight. That ‘s the justification. Yikes. Obviously, people weren ‘t just gonna let this go.
lmao at ariana grande pretending like her tattoo was just “too painful ‘ and saying she purposely got a badly translated tattoo instead of admitting that she ‘s just a white chick that cant understand Chinese or Japanese

Can ‘t believe I did this….. I got a tattoo to match @ArianaGrande pic.twitter.com/lGtV3xJHIb

So what ‘s the takeaway here? Maybe do a little more research before getting a language you don ‘t speak permanently inked into your skin.
Or, y ‘know, how about just DON ‘T DO IT?
Please. Leave Japanese and Chinese calligraphy tattoos in the early 2000 ‘s with frosted tips and long surfing shorts where they belong.
