Instead of the normal blind panel/focus group of “real people,” Chevy tried something a little different in their latest commercial. This time Chevy tries to emulate some type of awful Youtube prank video. The host goes undercover as a valet and brings back the wrong car…a Chevrolet. And just like most Youtube prank videos it’s all fake, those people are all actors. Any normal person would be really upset if the valet brought back the wrong car and tried to sell them said car. Let’s see how Mahk handles the situation
In this series of ads, Discover claims their customer service is great because it’s run by “real people.” The message is “We treat you like you ‘d treat you”. Truth is Discover Card has one of the WORST customer service ratings in the business. Guess “treating you like you’d treat you” isn’t such a good thing, especially when it’s Mahk answering the phone….
We present to you Exhibit A of why Chevy is completely out of touch with the modern world. In a terrible attempt at meta-advertising, Chevy puts together a millennial-filled blind panel of stereotypes to critique one of their future crappy ads. Mahk has a hard time blending in with the other millennials until he finds out that he IS one of them…..
“Real People. Not Actors” commercials have infested the fast food world and Zebra Corner is set to exterminate these pests of slick deceitful marketing. The newest target? The King himself and when you come at the King, you best not miss. After getting some bad publicity for their old chicken sandwich, Burger King decided to create a NEW chicken sandwich. Fantastic, it takes guts to admit your food sucks and change it. Their mistake was in the marketing, blindfolding “real people, not actors” to test out the new sandwich. They didn’t count on Mahk and his brutal honesty when they picked his mean tweet.
What if those annoying “Real People. Not Actors” commercials were actually real life? Chevy fails again with another commercial where they gloat about all their amazing made up pointless awards. Last time Mahk took it easy on them, this time they may not be so lucky…..
In this ad campaign “real people” are led blindfolded into an abandoned building, where they are seated onto a dirty old couch sprayed with Febreze. Most are fooled by the odor eliminator’s power, but they didn’t count on Mahk’s keen sense of smell.
Enjoy the first video from our “Commercial Classics” series, which are parodies of older memorable commercials we despised. First up, Above the Influence Commercials.
What if those annoying “Real People. Not Actors” commercials were actually real life? This time we tackle the Chevy Hatch….and more big doors
What if those annoying “Real People. Not Actors” commercials were actually real life? You’ve seen the commercial. “We won the J.D. Power initial quality award!” But what the hell is an initial quality award and who the hell is J.D. Power? The worst thing is that these so called “real people” act so impressed about an award they know nothing about. Well lets see how Mahk deals with the situation.
What if those horrible Pharmaceutical Ads actually told the truth? Meet Frank. Frank can’t poop because he pops pills all day, but thanks to Movantik now he can pop pills and still poop. Thanks Movantik!
